Some materials can withstand year-round exposure, but it's generally recommended to store furniture during extreme weather conditions. Covers and storage can significantly extend the life of your furniture.
We advise against pressure washing your Torakina furniture. Pressure washing can damage the wood and strip away its natural oils.
We do not recommend oiling, painting or staining the teak on your outdoor product. Painting or staining the teak will interfere with its natural weather-resistant properties and over-oiling can attract dirt and mildew. If you feel that the teak needs some protection, we suggest looking for teak protector rather than an oil. Please note that oiling, painting or staining the timber may also void your warranty
Avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia, instead use a mild detergent solution or a vinegar solution (one part vinegar to three parts water) with a clean, soft cloth to gently scrub the stain away. Make sure to rinse the soap or vinegar solution away after cleaning and allow the furniture to dry completely in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
Yes, cracks and splits in teak are normal and can be caused by changes in moisture and temperature. These cracks are typically superficial and do not affect the durability or structural integrity of the table
Our outdoor range cushions are not made to be machine washed. If you need to clean any spills or stains, please spot clean with a mild detergent and water solution only. Make sure to blot out any excess liquid with a clean cloth and allow to dry away from direct sunlight.
NOTE: always test your cleaning solution on a hidden spot in case of colour change or transfer
